Now ... those are movies I just don't want to be touched. Ever. :(

"Marry Poppins" is a strong classic that still works today. The charm and heart is not coming from the effects. You can't replace Dick Van Dyke or Julie Andrews. Ofcours, Jim reminds me of him sometimes and Amy Adams makes me think about Andrews. But there is no reason to get this remade. It's timeless.

And "Jurassic Park" is one of the only movies that's 16 years old and still can compete (even does a lot better than some) with movies today when it comes to special effects. The film is a classic, the music is legendary, the adventure unforgetable. I can't find one single reason to get a remake.

But maybe that's just me ... why would someone do a remake of movies that were (and are) realy good? If you do a remake, take a movie that wasn't that good and make it better, I say.

It's a fact that they don't care if it brings the money. That's right. But that doesn't mean they should. ;)

- Total Recall isn't timeless, neither is it realy realy good. I don't have a problem with that. But people don't wan't it remade, because it had Zwarzie.
- Jurassic Park 4 is in talks for years now, but things moved forwards since there's a script now and Joe Johnston is in talks to direct. They won't reboot that 'show' the first 15 years from now.

But okay, let's say I'm one of the remake-lovers, lol.

As a kid I loved and adored the Beetlejuice cartoons, but I hated the movie. I thought Michael Keaton wasn't right for the role and although the cartoon is based on it, the character was very different (better, imo) in that. I always thought Jim Carrey would be perfect for the role. Ofcours, people don't want that to happen, cause it's Tim Burtons "classic". But ... you know ... hypothetical . :)
