I've had him out 3 times. He hasn't got down to the food dishes, so I put a little bread and some pear where he's perched.
He's really animated now. He kind of sat for a few hours like he was in a daze. He's tamer than I thought he would be.

My mom has two birds, but she keeps them on the cages all the time because there is always a window or a door opened in the house... Anyway... they are such adorable creatures, and my mom talks to them, ask them to sing for her... and they do... I never thought they would be such good companions for her.

He is adorable. I think he's adjusting to the surroundings. Oh, and he shat on my shoulder. Good times.
He likes bread and pear so far.
We had one berzerk parakeet when I was little that would FREAK OUT if it saw mashed potatoes or scrambled eggs. It would yell and flop around the cage until he was let out. Then he'd fly to the table and start eating your potatoes and eggs. "When in doubt, tell the truth."
