1. Little Britain......UK award winning comedy which is now filming in the states.....
2. the 'Carry on' films ....British camp comedy at it's finest.......beloved to all Brits......... :D

I'd suggest the photography of Elliot Erwitt.........Jim loves his dogs and this man is the master of dog pics.....they are funny and poignant classics......he can see Elliots stuff on Amazon.........

The Augusten Burrows autobiographies........ really good reads, in fact they would have been great Philip Morris research......he's a great writer.... :D
