I've always liked the sence in The Majestic when he finds out his "dad" is having a heart attack.

The best serious scene including Jim Carrey, is the one without words. In 'The Truman Show', when his ship hits the wall and he touches it with his hand and start to cry and screams it out (you can't hear it, only music) ... Of all movies of all time, that might be the one that touches me most.

I always liked the scene in Dumb & Dumber when Jim says that he's tired of having nobody. I know it's a comedy but this scene made me feel sorry for
"Feels good to mingle with these laid back country folk, hey Har? I like it a lot".

There's a lot fo serious scenes of Jim that I love.
But one that really gets to me it's in the movie The Majestic, when he says goodbye to Harry... the whole scene just makes me wanna cry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwQVsB6k ... 66B057AE54Best movie I've seen Jim Carrey in (In my opinion.) I tear up whenever I watch this movie.
The wasted youth, the pretty lies, the ugly truth. Only to find, I've come alive.

His speech near the end of The Majestic is a great scene too.

Does the scene in Dumb and Dumber count where he is teary and says hes sick and tired of having nobody? I like that one! It makes me cry each time and i dont know why! i also cried in Man on the Moon, with the funeral scene... and in the Majestic, when he cries when his "dad" dies. Pretty much all the serious scenes are good! People underestimate him as a serious actor.
