IMDB isn't always the place to trust. Wrong information, old news brought as fresh news ... happens a lot. From the names I see, I guess this is the team that was attached when Burton still was on.

Gong Li. She alread finished Shanghai in Sep 08....BUT she will not do RBON as far as I know.
Chris Culombus is rumored as the new director. The draw to her was Burton who asked her to do while they where on The Cannes Jury together.....

Who knows if this project will even go ahead. There has been zero news.

After The Three Stooges, Jim will film Ripley's in 2010 for a 2011 release. However, Gong Li won't be in it. Columbus is currently filming Percy Jackson and this is his next movie too.
