I think everybody and their grandmother thought La La Land was gonna win Best Picture, but talk about egg all over your face. I like that Beatty made his defense. That's what you call a trooper. I gotta say that it is the funniest Oscars telecast I've ever seen especially with Kimmel's Damon-bashing!

Lala Land is insanely overrated.
That's another thing that annoys me about the Oscars - they're so predictable.
The real gems just go unnoticed.

Yes! There was no way Moonlight was not going to win! Except for two technical categories and Viola Davis (though she was too obvious) all my predictions were spot-on! :) So yeah, that Lalaland moment was pure gold.

There's too much cronyism and back patting in Hollyweird now......it's rife with corruption and nepotism. The BAFTA's aren't much better though....... :x
There are so many films which are much better than the award winners which go unrecognised......and i don't think politics should be dragged into it.
Personally i'd rather go to the dentist than see LA LA Land  ....but i would recommend Hidden Figures. :D

Totally agree. It's all meaningless.
It's a popularity contest now; who can campaign the hardest and kiss the most arse.

And agree that the BAFTAs are the same..

It's aaaaaaaaaaalllll bullshit.

I watched Manchester by the sea today. Casey Affleck was excellent but i couldn't help thinking of Jim playing the leading role. That would fit him perfectly.

i love that la la land saying\
its perfect for hollywood california, to call hollywood la la land
cuz if you think about the dreamers and fantasizers its like
your day dreaming so your in la la land all the time
when you see the movie you'll see why
its called la la land
i used to be accused of being in la la land all the time by my parents
day dreaming and fantasizing :|

and i also visioned while watching the movie, that Jim played the part of ryan gosling and then i fantasized the main characters were me and Jim carreys
thats la la land ay
