Opening weekend it will gross $22 million.
The reason it won't do as well as the rest of Jim's films is because its got a smaller and more select audience. Jim's fans will go see it and fans of the book will go see it, but its not as popular a book as Harry Potter was. It appeals to a different sort of reader than Harry Potter, although I'm sure there are some overlapping fans. I predict that it will do extremely well overseas.
I really hope and think you are wrong psychicmuse2.
But remember it opened in 3,620 theaters, the widest Jim Carrey release ever, Paramount have done a great job promoting it on the Internet and this week is normally a very good box office weekend (I am thinking of Lord or the Rings lol). Maybe people wait till next week to see it. I think it will gross more the second week than in its first week. But $50 Million is absolutly possible this weekend, I will be very disapointed if it only gross $25-30 Million. Join Jim Carrey Online on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat
