I used to collect stamps as a kid.
Now, I dont collect anything. I think I collect sayings.... funny or wise ones ....sometimes my own Like, for today I came up with 'I can tolerate respect without love, but not love without respect'. And I mean respect as in 'respect my wishes', not 'respect my ego'
What are you thinking of when hiking in the woods?

Whoa....not deep stuff like "I can tolerate spaghetti without parmesan, but not parmesan without spaghetti."
I'm thinking, "I should probably stay away from that pile of sticks and leaves because there might be a snake there."
Whenever I hiked in the woods it was always more about an absence of the worldly dilemmas than a forum to think about them. If I wanted to think, I would sit down between the roots of a tall tree for awhile.
What makes you jealous?

You know what's really weird? Besides what you're thinking....? Today I went with my cousin hunting for morel mushrooms in the woods. Sometimes the mushrooms are hiding under leaves, so I got a stick...because the forest floor is too buggy to go digging with your hands. It was a lovely, but chilly day and the oxygen rich loamy smell was kind of soporific...and I was moving some leaves with my stick and THERE WAS A SNAKE. A black shiny snake...and I'm not a ninny really...not much scares me...but all of a sudden my throat kind of constricted and I had a sharp intake of air. At that moment it's like I had become a tiny bit schizophrenic and the personality that watches Animal Planet was repeating "It's more scared of you than you are of it...just back up and walk away...it's more scared of you than you are of it...." and the OTHER personality that has seen too many cartoons is screeching "It's itty bitty and probably really fast and it's gonna go up your pantleg...it's gonna go up your PANT leg!" And I could not budge while responsible civilian fought with hysterical civilian. Finally semi hysterical responsible civilian JUMPED backwards and then went running to the path and my cousin, the Eagle Scout said, "What?" And I released one strangulated word...."ssssn....ake." And he laughed like a hyena.
And we didn't even get any mushrooms.
What animal terrifies you?

All that could kill me. Surely dogs could also kill someone but normally I am not terrified of them (although I was biten six times by a dog).
What is your favourite animal?
I'm qì, my friend.

I like parrots. My father raised all kids of domestic birds when I was a kid. I had a blue crowned Amazon named Dutch when I was very small and Dutch would let me wrap him in a blanket and lay him in my baby buggy and push him all over my parents' hardware store.
Describe your favorite family pet.

My fave pet is the current house cat Regan. We've had several animals come and go over the years and Regan is the first to stick around--he's been here about five years now. He has a definite personality and he's become part of the family. He believes that this is his house and that we all serve him, but it's partly true. Even the other animals understand Regan's authority over him. Though Regan is technically my cat, the other family members have come to love, and respect, the animal.
Do you prefer regular wooden pencils or the mechanical pencils?

Mechanical are good because you don't have to sharpen them.
Regular ones are OK
Either one is fine.
This week I went to play in the pasture with the horses actually I was
just feeding them. My fiance came back and said "we'll I guess every
once in a while you need to be"put out to pasture".
I agreed.
Do you like to be around horses?

My second favorite actor is either Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire. Or maybe Bing or Bob Hope or, I don't know. I love all of those song and dance films.

I've been dwelling on the regrets a little too much lately. The truth is, if I had done some of the things I *wish* I'd done...it would have changed other things and THOSE would have become the regrets.
I *do* wish I had never started smoking in England, though. I'm trying to quit...and it's REALLY REALLY hard. Ironically...I want one when I think about regrets.
I regret that I tend to close myself off emotionally to avoid getting burned.
What was your favorite Halloween costume?
