Would it be rude and out of line...or maybe just plain nosey if I were to inquire the gender of the person who sent you this package of loveliness? :D

If it was from a guy I'd be substantially more excited about it.

I'm scared my money's going to run out. I'm scared that I'm weak. I hate the fact that I think about everything. I need to lose about 30 pounds. I'm floating on a sense of trust that everything will be ok...I know the 23rd psalm, but I'm still scared.

I fear I have wasted my talent in the place of taking care of family. I keep plugging away doing nice things for everyone...and you know, I kind of HATE that I do that, too.

I should come first....but for some reason I just can't believe that.

You might want to consider some priorities... and put yourself on the top of the list... it's not a matter of selfishness, but of taking care of yourself, which if you don't, nobody will. Moreover, you have to be alright in order to take care of others if you will...

Do not put too much on your shoulders... you can bend and break... Keep in mind that you are the only one that knows what is really good for you ... even with food... I lost 10 pounds about a couple of a month ago just because I became more aware of my food intake and what is good for me... I do eat chocolate and I am still keeping the weight off... It's a matter of balance, and it's apply to everything in life...

I know all of that Clem. But I am the damnest beast who's had to move all over and live through almost everything. It's getting painful. Some things are fantastic and I wouldn't trade them. You words of advice are words I've given others, but right now I'm typing and crying because of what someone has done.

I just don't feel safe. I feel like I'm in the wrong place.

It might be your turn now... it might be time for you to talk the talk and walk the walk... which is not easy at all... but you can do it... give yourself a chance... you've been to places, had experiences -- goods and bads -- you might need some more time to yourself... just don't push yourself too hard.

You need to take up a Job quirky. A part-time, any decent one for a start. If it doesn't work out no problem leave it. But give it a shot. Next to family, Work IS substantial in that it gives self-worth ... it does to me.

Great suggestion Laura... I saw her program about Mother-Daughter relationships a year or so ago on PBS. It was insightful!
