Jim Carrey chats to Richard Arnold about his new film in Good Morning Britain, which aired on british TV 2 days before the release of th comedy.
Jim Carrey reveals he was reluctant to make a Dumb and Dumber sequel until he realised how much the original film meant to fans worldwide.
"Dumb and Dumber To", a Farrelly Brothers production which also stars Jeff Daniels, comes a whopping 20 years after the first.
Jim said: "I don't really think about doing sequels, I don't like doing the same thing over and over again. I was being badgered constantly by fans."
He said: "When I started to realise how important the film was to people I thought there is a lot of negative stuff going on in the world, maybe they need these two people. I like doing insane things! Maybe this is for me."
Jim also revealed that he still reenacts his famous role as the Grinch - but only for his young grandson!
When asked his favourite Christmas movie he said: “Selfishly I love The Grinch - I just introduced it to my grandson and now he just looks at me through the corner of his eye a lot and says [in a whisper] ‘Grandpa - you’re the Grinch’ - he makes me do the face constantly!”
