"The Bad Batch" Available on DVD, Blu-ray and Netflix
19 Sep 2017

By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)

The wait is over! For the fans of the movie "The Bad Batch" you don't need to continue to hope to watch it… you can do it anytime you want and as many times you feel like it.

Today the movie is available on DVD, Blu-ray and online on Netflix!

Special features:
- "Six and a Half" A Short Film from Ana Lily Amirpour
- Deleted Scenes
- Director's Commentary (With Ana Lily Amirpour)
- Making the Bad Batch
- Running Dream
- Welcome to Comfort

Ana Lily Amirpour's vision is "a love story set in a community of cannibals in a future dystopia. In a desert wasteland in Texas, a muscled cannibal breaks one important rule: don't play with your food."

About working with Ana, Jim Carrey said at the press junket at TIFF, that he was thrilled to work with Ana Lily Amirpour on "The Bad Batch," and having admired her directorial debut "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night."

Jim's character is a hermit who doesn't say anything through the entire time. About the experience of shooting the movie Jim said:
"It was so much fun for me because she's amazing. It was completely dialed into who I am. I am the hermit. I got to live in the desert by myself for 10 days, cook for myself, hang out under the full moon when the whole crew disappeared at the end of the day. There was this gorgeous girl, really attractive, who said, 'Can I stay over in the trailer?' And I said, no, I'm a hermit, I don't do that. It was so quiet out there at night that I could hear the blood rushing over the top of my ear. It was like a vacuum. Silence is so important."

He was especially grateful that Amirpour, who was raised on '90s American movies, found value in bringing him the role. "She's young, and innovative and hungry," Carrey said. "But she grew up with me and admires me as an artist, seeing something beyond the superficial. And yet, I need her. I need the people that grew up with me to give me jobs and appreciate what I do."

And we also appreciate being able to still see the amazing talent that Jim and many more are willing to share.
