Well, you have read correctly. The movie "Sonic the Hedgehog" has got an official website and you can buy tickets to see the movie in advanced there. Tickets are only available in the United States of America.

If you are not in the USA you need to check the theaters in your own country to know when the movie is available as well as tickets. Later this week we have an update of international release dates.
Sonic is speeding up to theaters in 3 weeks, February 14th.
