Jim Carrey nominated twice for "2001 MTV Movie Awards"

MTV has announced the nominees for the 2001 MTV Movie Awards, which will be taped June 2nd in L.A., Shrine Auditorium, and broadcast on June 7th, 9 pm (ET/PT). A national poll of MTV and MTV2 viewers chose the nominees, and online voting will be possible at www.mtv.com from 4/24 to 5/23. You can also vote via phone.
Jim Carrey is nominated in two categories: as BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE (Me, Myself & Irene) and BEST VILLAIN (Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas).
Additonally, online-visitors can pick their nominees in four new categories including "Favorite Line", "Best Cameo", "Best Music Movement" and "Best Dressed". These nominees will be announced as late as 5/23.
