The Impact Jim Has Made On You

Postby JimChangedMe » Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:52 pm

I've always been curious about topics like this. You see, I used to let my frustration with my family at home depress me and I eventually shut down for a good 3 years. I had few friends and I rarely did anything. But you know who dug me out of my hole? Jim.

You see, I wasn't the most social person until I truely paid attention to Jim. I began to watch interviews, commentaries, his movies, ANYTHING over and over and over. And after looking into his past on up, I said to myself, "Here is a guy who had a rougher time growing up than I did and he seems like the happiest guy on the face of the planet." So I changed. I became more social, more caring and sentimental, more understanding of others. I decided to take interest in writing and acting in hopes of one day being like him. I've never been better in my entire life.

My question is, how has Jim changed your life?

I think he reminds all of us to
remember to be jovial once in a while
and it can be a good thing.
If we take things so seriously we
probably would never laugh
We have to experience the joy as well as the sorrow
But hopefully the joy, even when things are bad, will
shine through.

"Joy to the world, the Lord is come"
"Joy on earth, peace and good will towards men"
"Joy, joy, joy, joy, joy"
"Make a joyful noise"

I know this is going to sound a little strange but i thoroughly believe in fate and the old saying 'everything happens for a reason.......i don't know what drew me towards this site and Jim but i do know it helped to solve an unanswered question in my life, one that had been troubling me from the age of 7......i know i can't thank him personally but i will be forever grateful.

I believe in this as well. Sometimes there is just a certain something that draws you to certain things

Jim has made me such a better person! Whenever I'm upset or anything but happy, I watch his stuff and I feel like nothing is happening but me watching and him acting. It's amazing! Just looking at him makes me feel better
