I saw the book in the bookstore yesterday, I might buy it, he sounds like an interesting man. My grandma worked at Hughes airport (or something like that). I just heard that Howard Hughes was a very interesting man, he went crazy in his last years, like he was very concious about cleanliness, he grew his nails out really long, stuff like that. I think he was dating or married Marilyn Manroe? "Hughes" is based on the extensive biography by Richard Hack, "Hughes:The Private Diaries, Memos and Letters". It'll be co-produced by Jim Carrey's company, Pit Bull Productions, which recently secured the cinematic rights to the book.<br><br>The other production companies involved are Stone Village Pictures, New Millennium Entert., and Castle Rock Entert. "Memento" and "Insomnia" director, Christopher Nolan, will take the helm and is also said to be in charge of the script adaptation.<br><br>This project is still in a early development stage.<br><br>Howard Hughes was a financial wizard, a plane pilot, a talented engineer, a notorious ladies man, and a movie producer (among other lesser known talents). He made billions, built the largest plane ever constructed, "The Spruce Goose", influenced top politicians, and became also famous for his many eccentricities. He was a man of an enormous will power and intelligence, increasingly consumed by madness and an addiction to hard drugs.
